The German football team is demanding £126m to sell Wirtz this summer. Liverpool wants to finalize the deal before the transfer window closes this week, during the Club World Cup.
Although Liverpool is not willing to meet Bayer's high price, they plan to make a final offer worth £118m within the next 24 hours. In response, Bayer is open to adjusting their stance, but they have not revealed their new selling price.
It has been reported that Wirtz has already agreed to terms of a contract with Liverpool, which includes a weekly salary of £355,000.
